15/03/24 While I was at last years reunion dinner in Liverpool I was asked if this site cost me any money to run, he was quite surprised when I told him a couple of hundred pounds a year!
He also asked if our community new that, to which I said not many if any. I decided to break down how much it actually did cost, the amount is currently £184 per year, hence my decision to put the info out there which also explains the message below. The full breakdown of my costs are on the

16/04/24 Sorry for any downtime, I haven't been at home for a couple of weeks.

12/03/24 I have scanned 388 Negatives from Gwil Davies all ranging between 48 & 52 YEARS old with good results, they have also been through AI software which has made them all sharp, those that haven't been done gave dodgy results!
As there are so many I have classified them into People, Ships
and Other. If you click on the i top left you will see photo info.

If you have negatives that need rescuing please give me a shout!

All Ships in order that I sailed on
Whilst I was at school, I hadn't a clue of what I wanted to do when I left, I did know that I would like a job which entailed travelling, the chance of promotion and of course a fair wage! After leaving school I worked on a building site for nine months whilst deciding and earned £60 a week. Once I left and joined Harrison's I was on the super wage of £54 a month! How times have changed!!

Unfortunately the company has come to an end as I knew it. In the mean time I have decided to put my trips online along with the pictures I took during those trips! It might bring back a few memories!!

Help needed......

If there are any ex- Harrison Line personnel or their Family out there who have film(Cine) or photos, especially of shipmates, I would love to here from you. Please get in touch. I would create individual collections and have them linked to your name, along with any details you provide, names, ships, dates, route etc.
